Welcome our 2019 Keynote Speaker:

Stephanie Simpson

Stephanie Simpson has deep roots in the Memphis community. She received her undergraduate degree in communication and juris doctor at the University of Memphis.  She is a member of the Junior League and served as President in 2013-14. Stephanie was a member of Mayor Strickland’s transition team as a leader on the poverty committee focusing on workforce development issues.  She has been recognized as the U of M chapter advisor of the year, as a Top 40 under 40 by the Memphis Business Journal, a 100 Years 100 Women Honoree at the University of Memphis and as a Next Gen Leader by the Memphis Business Quarterly.

In October 2016, Stephanie was diagnosed with breast cancer at 41 years of age.  She underwent surgery and radiation and now has regular check-ups at West Cancer Center as part of a preventative treatment plan.  Since her diagnosis, she has become passionate about connecting others who are fighting the disease and has also been involved with raising money and awareness in the Memphis community.  Stephanie was the chair for West Fight On, the signature fundraiser for West Cancer Center’s nonprofit organization, in 2017 and 2018.  Also in 2018, she was featured as a Ramblin’ Rose Warrior and was selected as a Courage Thru Cancer honoree.
